Nobody’s Listening was presented at Harvard University on Tuesday, 11 February 2025, as part of an event titled Using Virtual Reality in Advocacy and Memorialization, hosted by the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. The event took place at the Kresge Building, where students and faculty gathered to explore how virtual reality can be used to advocate for human rights and memorialise atrocities.
The session featured a screening of Nobody’s Listening and a thoughtful exchange on the current state of the Yazidi community, as well as ongoing efforts to pursue justice and accountability for survivors of genocide.
University of Connecticut, Connecticut

Nobody's Listening is hosted in the hall of The Dodd Center for Human Rights at the University of Connecticut’s Storrs campus and is open to the public. The exhibition is presented by the Holocaust & Genocide Studies Program of Dodd Human Rights Impact, part of one of the largest and most comprehensive human rights programmes in the United States.
Support for bringing the exhibition to UConn was generously provided by the Human Rights Film & Digital Media Initiative, the Office of Global Affairs, the Levant Initiative of Dodd Impact Programs, the Department of Digital Media & Design, and the Connecticut/Baden-Württemberg Human Rights Research Consortium.
The exhibition opened on 10 February 2025 and runs through the end of June. As part of the programme, the Nobody’s Listening VR experience was also presented at E.O. Smith High School, where students participated in a Q&A discussion with Thikran Mato, Yazidi genocide survivor and Director of Nobody’s Listening, along with exhibition curators Dijon Dajee and Ryan D’Souza.
Nobel Peace Center, Oslo

The award-winning Forgotten Voices of Sinjar exhibition will be displayed at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo. Featuring VR, photography, and art, it explores the consequences of the Yazidi genocide and celebrates survivors' resilience.

The discussion will focus on safeguarding the Yazidi homeland and include survivor testimonies, performances by young Norwegian-Yazidis, and insights from experts, such as Dr. Khalaf Sinjari (Advisor for Yazidi Affairs, Iraq), Nariman Salem Ham (Norwegian Yazidi activist), and Haider Elias (Yazda Co-founder).

The U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP) hosted Nobody's Listening from October 30, 2023, to January 26, 2024. The exhibit used VR, photography, and art to commemorate the Yazidi genocide and its impact on persecuted communities.

The award-winning Nobody’s Listening Virtual Reality (VR) experience premiered in the United States at UNO in spring 2023, sponsored by UNO’s Sam and Frances Fried Holocaust and Genocide Academy. The exhibition ran from January 10 to February 23, 2023, at the UNO Art Gallery.

The immersive exhibition Nobody's Listening was displayed at the Representation of the State of Baden-Württemberg to the European Union from October 6 to October 28, 2022. Using VR, art, and poetry by Yazidi artists, the exhibition commemorates the Yazidi genocide while exploring its ongoing impact on survivors and their cultural heritage.
